Guillén: "Casually what citizens criticize today will be discussed tomorrow in the Transparency and Participation Working Group" (15/10/2017)

"You have to be cynical to talk about giving agility to joints when Cs has been holding back for ten months the operation of municipal boards blocking the budget"

The Councilor for Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, José Guillén, has shown his surprise because "casually what today criticizes Citizens will be discussed tomorrow in the Working Group on Transparency and Participation."

"It is curious that, knowing that tomorrow we have a meeting and that we are going to treat the regulation of Citizen Participation to improve the functioning of the Municipal Boards, only one day before they demand the urgent modification of these regulations," says Guillén.

According to the councilman "that's called doing politics second or amateur, go to tow.

Since Citizens never propose anything, do not make any new or constructive contribution and only know to criticize for criticizing.

"You have to be cynical to talk about giving agility to joints when Cs has been holding back for ten months the running of municipal boards blocking the budget.

The municipal boards work or at least function very well until Citizens paralyzed them blocking their budgets, "said Guillén.

The mayor has continued to say that "the commission has been working very efficiently for months in building the Transparency Ordinance that has been drafted and approved unanimously within the commission and submitted to various processes of citizen participation".

"The regulation of citizen participation in Murcia is a benchmark at the national level as well as our system of participation in pedanias through municipal boards.

Even so the Popular Party is willing to debate this issue as many others and to reach agreements as long as they are really to improve and do not seek to make a partisan use for the sole purpose of harming the Government Team.

According to Guillén, "many of the issues proposed by Mrs. Pérez in the regulation are already included and regulated in the same for years.

We expect the Citizens group to prepare their contributions well and responsibly and we can reach a broad consensus with the rest of the political forces as we have done within the Transparency and Participation Commission on such important topics as space use instruction public in the districts or the ordinance of transparency and participation that unanimously were approved in the heart of the commission with the participation of all political parties of the opposition.

It seems to me unfair to the group of parties that has been working for months in an excellent way in the commission to imply that nothing is being done when, once we have taken these two very important issues after a hard work, at the last meeting we had already agreed that by tomorrow we would start to address this issue. "

"I want to think that, perhaps, the mayor could not attend the meeting or was not attentive when we set the agenda for tomorrow since Mrs. Perez has convened this Monday to address this issue," concluded the councilman .
