The City of Murcia calls for 28 co-funding fellowships for co-chairs of information points in Educational Centers (13/10/2017)

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has approved at its weekly meeting the call for 28 scholarships for posts of young correspondent in the information points of the educational centers of the municipality.

This is the key piece within the Information Points project, specific information spaces, installed by the City Council in the centers of socialization of the young person pursuing a double objective: to bring the information produced by the Informajoven to the places where the youth are , and gather the information of the activities that are organized by or for the youth of the city.

Students perform the work of intermediaries between the PIJ and the students.

To do this they must comply with a series of requirements such as being enrolled in the center, be born between January 1, 1998 and December 31, 2001, be a student of the first year of high school or middle school, of tasks to be performed or to apply for participation in the call in the Secretariat of your school.

The selection of the fellows will be made by each educational center in the way that it deems convenient.

The Youth Service of the City of Murcia recommends that a committee be appointed, composed of the head of extracurricular activities of the center, another teacher and a representative of the students to make the selection.

Among the tasks to be performed by the 28 selected are the following:

1. Keep the information board where the juvenile information point is located and have it permanently updated and ordered.

2. Maintain and attend face-to-face information point for a minimum of one hour per week, or two half-hour shifts to respond to peer consultations.

3. Develop the necessary means of communication and cooperate with those already existing in its educational center to ensure that young people in the area are aware of the existence of the PIJ, Informajoven and the resources available to them.

4. Collect the information generated in each Center and the youth activities of the environment and send it to the Informajoven.

5. Send to the Informajoven Center any informative consultations of the students of its educational center that can not be attended with the information and resources offered to the PIJ.

6. Visit the Informajoven once a month to collect information and documentation for your PIJ.

7. Attend coordination and follow-up meetings and training courses programmed by the Municipal Youth Service.

8. Collaborate in the processes stipulated by the Informajoven to evaluate the progress of the PIJ.

9. Maintain a document of control and registration of requests of information to the PIJs by the users.

10. Collect and distribute or disseminate information campaigns and other publications of the Informajoven.

The call for scholarships will be published on the website of the Informajoven center (www.informajoven.org), and will be sent to each of the public secondary schools, public vocational training centers and art schools and the Official Language School of the municipality of Murcia, these should be occupied by their dissemination and publicity among the students to whom it is addressed, and establishing the form and place in which students can submit their applications.
