They can request microcredits from 5,000 to 25,000 euros in advantageous conditions for the start up of their business or the growth of their business project.

As part of the tax measures to promote entrepreneurship and employment, the City Council eliminated the license for opening licenses, "which has meant a saving of 1,500,000 euros for Murcia businesses and SMEs," said José Ballesta

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the president of the Union of Businessmen Murcianos (AVALAM), Pedro Diaz, signed this week the agreement that articulates the line of financial support that the City Council launched last year, for SMEs and self-employed who start their business projects in the municipality of Murcia.

"The main beneficiaries are young entrepreneurs and SMEs in the municipality that are starting.

They can request microcredits from 5,000 to 25,000 euros under advantageous conditions and receive specialized advice, at a key moment for the consolidation of any business as it is the starting point, "said José Ballesta.

Last year, € 100,000 of the initial fund of 400,000 that the agreement established was granted to four Murcia entrepreneurs and ten other interested parties this year.

AVALAM guarantees 50% of the amount and the rest is assumed by the financial institution, which also provide the economic resources.

Attending the event were the representatives of the financial entities affiliated to the agreement: the territorial director of BMN's Levante, Olga García, and the commercial director of Cajamar, José Antonio Chumillas.

The City Council has also adopted other tax measures to promote entrepreneurship and job creation, such as the elimination of the license for opening licenses, which has meant a saving of 1,500,000 euros for businesses and small and medium enterprises in Murcia .

Advice and simplification of procedures

The Center of Municipal Initiatives, through the line CIM-M Emprende, also provides companies and self-employed with the advice of the development agents of the center, streamlining and simplifying the procedures so that they can undertake the necessary investments in the start-up or growth of your business project.

The conditions of the loan are favorable for the entrepreneurs, who have 3 to 7 years to return the amount, with a year of grace, and an interest of 2.5%.

Who can access the funding?

Any SME or self-employed with registered office in the municipality of Murcia and be constituted or discharged at most within 24 months prior to the request.

To do this, must be part of or join the free program Murcia Initiates Company CIM-M (having physical presence or not in the nursery).
