The regional government begins the procedures to allocate 157 million to the burial of the tracks in Murcia (11/10/2017)

The Minister of Presidency and Development, Pedro Rivera, announced that the Autonomous Community will start today the procedures to allocate the necessary financing until the completion of the underground of the railroad in the city of Murcia, valued at more than 606 million.

Pedro Rivera detailed that the contribution of the Community will amount to 157.6 million to carry out the works of integration of rail and urbanization, according to the participation percentages of the company Murcia Alta Velocidad, and will have its reflection in the budgets of the regional government on a multiannual basis.

Rivera made these statements after reporting to the members of the Governing Council of the latest agreements reached on the Board of Directors of the company Murcia Alta Velocidad and the Social Commission that "consolidate in a solid and unequivocal way the burial of the roads."

The councilor described as a "historical fact" that the works of the underground of the Carmen station and the roads to Barriomar are executed in a single performance, "something very expected by the neighbors" and that, in addition, "it will allow us to gain speed and celeridad in the execution of works ".

The project for this action will be drafted at the end of this year and will be tendered in the spring of 2018.

Rivera said that "the regional government has worked with the Ministry of Development to carry out in one single operation the burial of the station and Barriomar," works that overlap over time with the execution of the Senda de los Garres and Santiago phase The oldest.

Likewise, he pointed out that the current works have been adapted to avoid that the provisional route arrives on the surface, through a ramp, to the station and finally takes place underground, according to one of the claims of the neighbors.

The Minister of Presidency and Fomento also reported that the Social Commission to Follow-up the Works of Underground Railroad in Murcia, together with the company awarded, agreed to advance in mid-November excavation works, which will begin on a part of the beach of the tracks of the station of the Carmen.
