Next Thursday, October 19, begins a new cycle of the cinephorum 'The cinema on the big screen', made by the University of Murcia in Cafe Ficciones, a picturesque café-video store located in the center of Murcia.
In the first session, which will be held at 6:00 pm, the theme of cyber-security will be discussed through the film 'Hacker', a film released in 2016 in which the protagonist must enter an online criminal organization to help their parents financially.
After viewing, Félix Gómez Mármol, professor of the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Murcia, will delve into the problems of the Internet.
The event, which has been carried out with great success in previous years, seeks the projection of a film for its analysis through the debate with the objective of discovering and internalizing the realities and attitudes present in the discussion group or reflected in society.
The films that will be screened will tackle varied, current and interesting subjects for citizenship.
This new cinephorum, which will premiere with cybersecurity, will deal with topics such as immigration, education, astronomy, psychology, organized crime and biology, among others.
To enjoy a unique experience, different researchers from the University of Murcia will collaborate with the project to bring all the attendees with a clear and simple language the selected discipline.
This new cinephorum, organized by the Scientific Culture Unit, will form part of a broad cycle that will run until June 2018. Those interested in attending this session should send an email with their data to ucc@um.es.
