In response to the demand for activities to be included in the Educational Offer "My City Teaches" for the next 2017/2018 course, within the Traditional block, the Department of Education included a new action using as a resource the Center of Crafts of Murcia .
In it the new creative cooking workshops are being held, taught by pastry chefs, to get in touch with food in a fun and healthy way.
Workshops for 3, 4 and 5-year-old schoolchildren such as the about fifty CEIP Avileses students who have known, from the hands of professional bakers, and by which up to May 3,350 schoolchildren throughout the municipality enjoy this activity.
An activity that allows the students to know the process of making confectionery in an artisan way, working the materials that make it (flour, sugar, eggs), develop the sense of taste, smell, manual dexterity, motor skills and creativity, giving shapes to the mass to create their own cookies with different shapes of dolls, and watching how the ingredients are transformed through their elaboration.
With this we are looking for:
To value the importance of the habits in food hygiene.
Promote health education.
Develop creativity through the process of cooking with different ingredients.
Discover the benefits of a healthy and balanced diet.
Stimulate the senses and fine motor (kneading, cutting, cutting and giving forms)
Learn organizational skills and task planning and encourage socialization
Work sensory perception, shapes, smells and tastes.
