The professional circuit of Contemporary Art approaches the UMU classrooms through the Tuenti Urban Art Project (11/10/2017)

Next October 16 TUENTI URBAN ART PROJECT arrives at the University of Murcia.

This is an initiative promoted by Tuenti, the mobile company, which has the curatorate of Urvanity Art.

In addition to the University of Murcia, four other universities participate in the project: Barcelona, ​​Seville, Zaragoza and Politécnica de Valencia.

The purpose of the project is to link the professional circuit of urban art with the students of Fine Arts of these five Spanish universities and to make known the universe of creators who have developed their work in the urban context from the 70s, with the purpose of opening other creative paths to the students.

The initiative will offer various activities during the week of October 16-20: Lula Goce will paint a 12x10 wall on the campus of Espinardo (Faculty of Fine Arts).

The artist will be working from October 16 to 20 and will be able to follow their work process day by day.

Belin, an internationally known artist for his hyperrealistic technique with spray, will give students of visual arts the workshop "Realism in Spray" on October 18 and 19.

On Wednesday, October 18 and Thursday 19th, the Hall of Acts of the Faculty of Fine Arts will host a program of talks, debates and presentations on the artistic practices that take place in an urban context.

On Wednesday at 17 hours will be the institutional opening by the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Mariano Flores Gutiérrez, the marketing manager of Tuenti, Gema Perona, and by Urvanity Art will be Alberto Aguilar.

At 17:30 the students of the visual arts will be presented the Urvanity-Tuenti New Contemporary Art 2018, a competition that aims to spread the work of young artists in the field of current artistic practice.

At 6:00 p.m.

will begin the Cycle Actors of the Professional Circuit with the interventions of Goyo Villasevil, codirector of Swinton Gallery, and Óscar García, director of PAC and independent commissioner.

The day will close at 7.30pm with the Cycle Trajectories in which Belin presents his creative universe.

On Thursday 19th at 5:00 p.m., there will be a pooling of the results of the workshop "Realism in spray" with the presence of the artist Belin and the students participating in it.

Later, at 6:00 pm, the panel discussion "Sketching public places from the art" will take place with the participation of Dos Jotas, artist and researcher, and Antonio Feliz, artist and illustrator.

The Cycle Trajectories will also close this day at 7.30pm by Lula Goce, who will establish a dialogue about the work done on campus and his artistic career with the public.

Admission is free until capacity is reached.
