The Romea and Circo Theaters continue to work to create shared leisure experiences accessible to all people, where the stage is a meeting point for all types of diversities.
In this way, they return to collaborate this season with 'Accesible Theater', an initiative that arises from the collaboration between the Vodafone Foundation Spain, Psychiatry and Life Association / New Life Work Rehabilitation Center and Aptent Solutions that tries to bring theater closer to people with sensory diversity through subtitling, audiodescription and magnetic induction systems, as well as punctual sign language.
The works that will have support to facilitate their compression are Alfredo Sanzol's "La ternura" (October 20) and "The Author of the Girls" by Ernesto Caballero (October 27) are the two works that will have support to facilitate their understanding.
The accessibility services that will be offered in these two works are:
Adapted subtitling: People with hearing diversity can rely on subtitling to follow the work.
The subtitle also offers character identification through colors, information of sounds and intonation of the dialogues.
Audiodescription: Through individual audio receivers, the person with visual diversity can listen to a voice-over that describes the relevant visual content of the play.
Individual magnetic loop: Users of hearing aids (hearing aid or cochlear implant) can hear the sound of the play in a clear way through the use of an individual loop system
Sound in a room with a headset: Users with hearing problems or simply want to hear the play better, can hear the sound with a headset
Hand program adapted to intellectual diversity: People with intellectual disabilities will have access to the adapted hand program in easy reading.
They will also be presented in the theater with an individual device with headphones to listen to audio explanations or audiofáciles during the work that support the understanding
