The president of the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia, José Luis Mendoza, has been named an academic of the Pontifical Academy for Life, during his General Assembly, held in the New Aula of the Synod in the City of Vatican, and that has been presided over by his holiness Pope Francis.
In the appointment, the Governing Council of the Academy specifies that "Its competence and availability will undoubtedly contribute to the mission of the Pontifical Academy for Life in the scientific work of cultural research and academic education, at the service of human life , requested to the Academy by the Holy Father ", concluding with a thanks" for the qualified contribution that will contribute ".
Initially signed by Monsignor Vicenzo Paglia and Monsignor Renzo Pegoraro, President and Chancellor respectively of the Pontifical Academy for Life.
José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, becomes the only institutional representative of academic and university centers, usually reserved for those who stand out for their scientific research, but also in this case, for the work carried out by the entire Institution.
