Let's change Murcia denounces the existence of an illegal macro dump between El Palmar and San Ginés (06/10/2017)

The vocal of Cambiemos Murcia in the Municipal Council of San Ginés, Ginés Mirón, has denounced this morning the existence of an illegal large dump located between this hamlet and El Palmar, which is accessed from the new stretch of the Southern Coast which runs along the road linking El Palmar and Alcantarilla.Miron has reported that although in this area all types of debris have been dumped in recent months, especially since the construction of the new section of the Coast , there is a large influx of trucks accessing the dump by a door that has a lock and communicates directly with the new section of the Southern Coast.

According to the vowel of the municipal training, much of the waste that contains this illegal waste comes from public works, such as remains of tiles, curbs or asphalt, so it is possible that some of the companies that are awarded works, both on the part of the City council as well as by the municipal boards, they end up throwing the waste in these unauthorized landfills although in their budget these actions contemplate, or at least they should contemplate obligatorily, a rate of collection of debris in order that these be deposited in authorized landfills.

Let's change Murcia has warned of the possibility that it is a fraud to the municipal coffers, since some companies could be saving costs through this type of actions.

"In some cases, it is the city council itself that finishes cleaning solar debris filled, so in the end, the neighbors and residents of Murcia ended up paying twice for the removal of the same waste," said Mirón.

In the face of this situation, Cambiemos Murcia has asked both the City Council and the municipal councils for greater control over what happens with the rubble generated by municipal works, as well as to enable formulas to verify that these are effectively deposited in landfills authorized for it.
