PSOE and Cambiemos Murcia accuse the PP of continuing to compromise public procurement in favor of private companies (05/10/2017)

The Municipal Socialist Group and Cambiemos Murcia have denounced today that the Government team is doing away with their duties by allowing Emuasa to hire staff through Temporary Employment Enterprises (ETT), thus violating the motion unanimously approved at the December plenary session of 2016, which agreed that contracting would follow the principles of equality, merit, capacity and publicity.

Last Monday, October 2, the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) published a tender notice for the provision of personnel through ETT for Emuasa, which according to each political formation "contravenes the objective that the public part of the Entity, which has a 51% stake, exercises as such in the management of the company. "

"The PP can not maintain this lack of rigor in complying with the decisions taken by the highest body, which is the municipal plenary, nor contribute to the actual management of Emuasa remain in private hands."

Precarization of staff

The PSOE and Cambiemos Murcia have explained that it does not make sense to resort to an ETT when the turnover that handles Emuasa exceeds 170 million euros per year.

Therefore, "it has more than enough economic resources to avoid the precarious and opaque hiring of the necessary personnel, and this can not be allowed in a mixed capital company with a majority of public capital."

"Although it does not have to do with the hiring problems that the City of Murcia is having, it joins those who keep up with the situation of employees and employees in the Ramón Gaya Museum, City Museum and in the Offices of Tourism, among other public services, "have said Councilors Enrique Ayuso, Socialist Party, and Nacho Tornel, Cambiemos Murcia.

Likewise, the councilors have agreed that "it is outrageous that a government team that has shown a rather irregular form of recruitment insist on the error and continue to compromise the smooth operation of our services."
