Simulations, practical classes, conferences, workshops and simulators, in the second edition of Vial Week (04/10/2017)

Murcia will host, from 6 and until 11 October, the second edition of Vial week, a unique event in Spain that seeks, through various activities organized between the Department of Traffic and Citizen Security and the Regional Association of Autoescuelas Murcia (Aramur), make Murcia aware of the importance of road safety and place the municipality as a reference in this area.

From today until the end of the event, information points will be established in Plaza Santo Domingo and Avenida de la Libertad to inform about activities, workshops and conferences.

On Friday, October 6, after the official inauguration, the Cajamar Culture Hall will host different conferences to expose the importance in road safety of technological advances in vehicles.

It will show the role of other means of transport, such as the tram, and its interaction with other users of the road.

It will also identify the most vulnerable groups in traffic and how to act to prevent accidents.

And lastly, the instruments promoted by the General Directorate of Traffic will be highlighted in order to achieve the goal of shared mobility between users in a less polluting way, and in a safe road environment.

In addition, there will be electric and hybrid vehicles available to attendees to try them out.

On Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Plaza Santo Domingo, there will be workshops and simulations and demonstrations of activities to promote road safety with Civil Guard, Local Police, Fire and Sanitary Services.

They will make a display of vehicles, material and personnel, where they will show the Murcia all the actions they take to increase road safety, such as how alcohol and drug detection devices work, radars, roadside help .. In addition, they will carry out a mock release of traffic victims trapped in a vehicle.

Similarly, the teachers of driving schools associated with Aramur will give free practical classes to citizens in conflict zones such as

bowers, efficient driving that improves comfort, increases safety and decreases consumption, maintenance cost and emissions and shift wheel and placement chains.

The smaller ones will be able to participate in an awareness campaign in which with games and through a circuit they will know the importance of the road safety and the obedience of the signals.

Bicycles and tricycles for children will be used, and a circuit will be drawn up with traffic signs.

In addition, several simulators will be placed, such as the tipping, which will recreate what happens when a vehicle overturns, and the importance of the correct use of the seat belt;

frontal impact at a very low speed, but which will serve to transmit what could be at a normal speed, helping to raise awareness of the importance of respecting traffic rules and signals, and appropriate use of protective measures (seat belts, airbags, etc.)

Likewise, through the use of special glasses, attendees will undergo a simulation to test in the first person the effects of these substances in driving.

In addition, there will be theoretical-practical sessions throughout the day, where you will be traveling in different groups of streets in Murcia, and instructors will teach you how to cycle on the safest way.

In addition, and coinciding on Saturday with full moon, will be held the "Moon bike" where you will enjoy pedaling from the city, leaving from the Glorieta de España (Ayuntamiento de Murcia) at 19:00 with a course of approximately between 10 and 15 kilometers.

In addition to these activities, there will be informational points from Traffic Accident Victim Associations, as well as the Blood Hemodontic Center, and companies that have developed tools to improve road safety.

On Monday 9 October, from 12:00 to 14:00 hours and from 16:30 to 19:30 hours, in the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of Murcia, will be held the Training Days for professionals, in which Aramur promotes the continuous training and improvement of the teachers of road training of the driving schools associated with it, with the aim of giving the best training to its students and that they are safe drivers.

The instructors will be Roberto Ramos, expert in road safety of the CNAE Foundation, Coordinators-examiners of the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of Murcia and Honda experts.

On Tuesday 10 October, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Sala de Cultura Cajamar, it will be celebrated 'Old people and road safety.

New societies, new challenges, which will deal with all the issues that may be of interest to these people, such as updating knowledge (roundabouts, signs, etc.), how medications affect driving, renewals of driving licenses, and Other themes.

The program will be closed on Wednesday 11 October, from 11 am to 1:30 pm, at the Auditorium of the University of Murcia with the campaign to raise awareness among young people (colleges, institutes and universities), a ludic-formative activity given by the expert in road safety of the CNAE Foundation (National Confederation of Driving Schools) Roberto Ramos, collaborator of the television program of TVE1 "Vital Security".

With the use of projections, tilting simulators and frontal impact, as well as special glasses that recreate the sensations of alcohol consumption, cannabis or fatigue, will instill in young people the importance of road safety, and will make them internalize some attitudes so that after this day, significantly reduce the chances of causing / suffering a traffic accident.
