More than 100 roads and pedanias will be paved at the beginning of the year (04/10/2017)

The Department of Development, directed by Roque Ortiz, is going to carry out a project of asphaltic renovation of streets and roads in districts of Murcia through four lots totaling 1,559,998 euros, and whose specifications have been approved by the Board of Governors

The particular thing of this project is the saving that is obtained by the lows presented by the bidders will be invested in the asphalting of more streets.

Thus, the sheet establishes the asphalting of a total of 105 streets that have an overall length of 24,436 linear kilometers (200,429 square meters), a distance similar to that between Murcia and Archena.

The maximum area of asphalting if there is the maximum saving in the low will be 43,343 kilometers (324,055 square meters), corresponding to 225 vials.

All the roads that are part of the project have been proposed and approved by the different municipal boards prioritizing the asphalting of those who are in worse condition or are more used by the neighbors of the different districts.

The project includes road repairs, road surface painting, resurfacing and street paving, which aims to eliminate bumps, peeling, deformation and other damages, thus improving road safety.

In order to carry out this work, firstly, the deteriorated areas of the pavement will be repaired, followed by a thorough cleaning and sweeping of the entire surface, and finally a rolling layer of variable thickness depending on the condition of the pavement.

Depending on the typology and the state of the street, different types of material will be used:

?

Microcluster: a mixture used in rolling layers that provide or restore the surface characteristics of the firm (slip resistance, surface drainage, soundness ...), contributing to optimize the performance of the entire package of the firm and significantly improved the comfort and safety of the user with reduced cost.

?

Hot asphalt mix: used when there are major defects in the vial.

It is the most generalized type of asphalt mixture.

• Triple surface treatment: allows the construction of inexpensive pavements, quickly, for low to medium traffic, and on existing pavements allows to improve the texture and friction.
