An expert on gravitational waves, the subject that has won the Nobel Prize in Physics for three American scientists, will speak tomorrow, October 5, at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Murcia (UMU), on the campus of Espinardo.
It is José Martín Senovilla, professor of the University of the Basque Country, who will offer his lecture at 5:00 pm in the auditorium of the aforementioned faculty.
During the course, which is part of the seminar organized by the Department of Mathematics, this teacher will explain what a gravitational wave is, how and with what devices it is measured, the information it provides, its differences with other everyday waves and other aspects Of the same.
For Professor Martin Senovilla, these waves are so important that you can say that humanity is at the dawn of a new stage, at a time that qualifies as unique and exciting.
