The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has approved a collaboration agreement with the Association ASPAYM-MURCIA for the development of its annual program of actions, which is specified in the Information and Advice Service.
"The main objective of this agreement, which is accompanied by an aid of 8,000 euros, is to improve the quality of life of the group of injured people and other physically disabled people due to the family, social and personal impact they achieve," said Conchita Ruiz, Councilor for Social Rights.
This service represents the first level of attention to the people affected and their families, informing about their rights, the resources, social benefits and the alternatives available to certain personal situations in which they require support and guidance.
These include information on technical or support aids, personal aids, adaptations, accessibility, parking spaces, regulations or disability certificates, among others, including valuation, guidance and social counseling, as well as referral to appropriate resources, whether external or the entity itself (such as the Functional Rehabilitation Service or the Universal Accessibility Technical Office).
"In this way we promote and encourage personal autonomy and improve the quality of life of people with spinal cord injury and great physical disability through the different social actions that are needed," explained Conchita Ruiz.
