The international seminar "The Roman Villas of Hispania, Case Studies", included in the program of the International University of the Sea-Campus Mare Nostrum, proposes to study the typology, evolution and forms of production associated with the Roman villas of Hispania, as well as to deepen the projects of valorization and musealización of the Roman villas of Hispania and to analyze its impact in the cultural and tourist fabric.
The archaeological excavations carried out in the Roman town of Torrejones, in Yecla, are making it possible to document a large architectural complex.
The relevance of these findings allows us to reflect on the Roman villas of Hispania, their historical analysis, their spaces of representation and decorative programs, and their productive areas, as well as their possibilities of cultural exploitation through the study of several examples.
The course will be held at the Municipal Archaeological Museum Cayetano de Mergelina between 19 and 21 October and is directed by José Miguel Noguera Celdrán, Professor of Archeology at the University of Murcia and Liborio Ruiz Molina, Director of the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Yecla.
It consists of 25 hours and those who register will be entitled to 2'5 Free Setup Credits or 1 CRAU Credit.
