The 25% of the students who initiate 4 ° of CAFD in the UCAM of Cartagena already have entered the world of sports work (28/09/2017)

The personalized attention of the Faculty of Sport of the Catholic and its connection with equipment, companies and events of the Region, facilitate their incorporation of the students to the labor market, being able to combine it with their studies.

Twenty-five percent of the students who completed the last year of the Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Science at the Campus of the San Antonio Catholic University in Cartagena and just started the last year of the course have been able to join the world sports work, combining their studies with jobs in clubs, gyms, sports companies, ... both for account of others and promoting their own companies.

"If we extend the employability data in this area among the students of the three courses that we have implemented in the facilities of Los Dolores, the average of young people who have already found a professional space in the sport of the zone is 15%, a higher percentage if we take into account that there are students who do not want to work while they study ", stressed the Academic Coordinator of the Cartagena campus, Juan Alfonso García.

Pablo Martínez, one of the students of CAFD in Cartagena who has taken advantage of his services of labor intermediation, emphasizes that "the most important thing here is the personal treatment and that each term has a subject that has more practice than theory."

In addition "we practice in the facilities of the UCAM, as the running circuit of 1,350 meters, a sports court and a gymnasium, but also in the agreements, which helps us to achieve greater performance. And we have the Orientation and Integration Service Laboral, which guides us on the practices in the four courses and in the end, on entering the labor market, as an outlet not only teaching, but also health, high performance, and a wide range of possibilities.

"That is why we are convinced that the students who are now starting their last CAFD course at UCAM will have much easier to integrate into the world of work, achieving a high rate of employability, among other things, thanks to the relationship which this university has with the clubs it sponsors, "Garcia added.
