Let's change Murcia denounces the stoppage of the procedures of approval of the ordinance of protection and tenure of animals (25/09/2017)

Let us change Murcia has denounced today that the government team, PP, is paralyzing the approval of the Ordinance on Protection and Tenure of Animals of Human Coexistence.

The councilor for municipal training, Margarita Guerrero, explained that the Animal Welfare Bureau, which was in charge of drafting the said ordinance, finalized its work five months ago, but the text has not yet been transferred to the Committee of Plenary to the Plenary itself.

"The Government team has been responsible for making propaganda on this issue despite the fact that there is no political commitment on their part as they have not initiated the procedure for the initial approval of the ordinance nor have forwarded the draft to the Secretary of Plenary."

In case the draft is taken to the appropriate bodies next month for processing, something hypothetical, will not be until the end of this year or early next year when it is finally approved.

"The PP has been limited to trying to sell that is for the implementation of the ordinance, although in reality everything is due to a propaganda attitude. The facts show this," said the councilor.

For his part, the head of the sector group for Animal Rights of Cambiemos Murcia, Manel Aparicio, said that "again the PP once again forget about a sector of the population" while "enhancing animal abuse" by supporting Bullfighting.

In this regard, he has referred to the imposition of the PP to include in the educational offer of Vocational Training (FP) the provision of courses to be a bullfighter, even with the possibility of obtaining public scholarships.

For Aparicio, "the double standards of regional and municipal governments are clear when they show that, according to their policies, 'the voiceless' are always the last to be taken care of, proving once again that the human is the most cruel of the planet ".
