The councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group, Juan Vicente Larrosa, has been satisfied this Monday after the numerous claims of the PSOE in relation to the need to recover the public management of the underground parking of Santa Isabel, have borne fruit.
"The issue has been extended a lot because of the problems that the City of Murcia drags due to the debt of the tram (the consistory is intervened). But finally, after many denunciations and insistence of the Socialist Group, the parking of Santa Isabel it will be public management, which will have a positive impact on the income of the city council itself, revenues that were previously in private business and now the council can allocate to other resources or services, "explained Larrosa.
The mayor also said that this was one of the objectives of the PSOE, to increase the revenue of the city council through the public management of parking, but recalled that the Socialist Group also advocates to ease the pocket of users.
"At present the price of public car parks in the municipality of Murcia is among the highest in Spain. There is room to lower that price and we have asked for it.At last July, an initiative of the PSOE was approved so that the rates for the public garages in Murcia will be revised downwards and we will demand that the motion and the commitment of revision made by the government team be fulfilled, about to enter the month of October. "
"The City of Murcia must begin to regain control over public parking lots, not only to collect revenue directly from its use, but also to ensure that users are offered a quality service at a reasonable price, the height of what is expected of the seventh municipality of Spain, "has concluded.
