Between the 2 and the 6 of October will be developed the first Days "Meetings with Literature in Murcia: the 'Order of the Meteorite' and other writers of today".
They are organized by Carmen María Pujante, professor of the Department of Spanish Literature, Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature of the University of Murcia, along with professor Manuel Martínez Arnaldos and Dr. Consuelo Mengual Bernal, whose thesis was on these writers.
The seminars will be held in different venues (Faculty of Letters of the UMU, Library of Molina de Segura and Real Casino de Murcia) between October 2 and 6, days in which students will participate as Mariano de Paco, Fco Javier Díez of Revenga, Francisco Vicente Gómez, Antonio Candeloro, or the American professor Thomas Deveny, as well as writers: Manuel Moyano, Paco López Mengual, Jerónimo Tristante, Miguel Angel Hernandez, Pascual Garci'a, Elías Meana, Pablo de Aguilar, Antonio Parra Sanz, Basilio Pujante, Alberto Caride, Marta Zafrilla, Lorena Moreno, etc.
Open to all interested parties, the conference will include lectures, interviews, round tables, literary routes and a writing workshop (with a literary competition for officially registered participants).
This is the purpose of analyzing the current panorama of literature, especially from the "literary explosion" that is being experienced in Murcia and the curious legend of the meteorite fallen in Molina de Segura, which groups a dozen writers of the locality.
Legend has it that the fall of a great meteorite in Molina de Segura in the middle of the nineteenth century, the greatest fall in Spain, conferred a special writing power on those born in that town and gave them "radioescribidad".
