440 young people will improve their conversation in other languages in the 22 language clubs organized by the Department of Youth (19/09/2017)

From tomorrow until Friday, September 29, applications can be submitted, both online and in person.

Rebeca Pérez: 'With this service we respond to the demand of young people and, at the same time, we follow the guidelines that the European Union marks in the matter of linguistic diversity, strongly encouraging its citizens to learn other languages, both for reasons of mobility professional and personal as being a factor of intercultural contacts and mutual understanding.

Improving the knowledge of English, French and German in conversation, to speak well, using cultural and recreational activities, is an objective made available to young Murcia by the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation, directed by Rebeca Pérez, through the Language Club, whose registration period opens tomorrow and continues until the 29th.

There are 22 clubs distributed throughout the municipality, in which there are 440 participants.

Of these, 16 Junior -12 in districts and 4 in districts-, aimed at young people between 12 and 17 years old, and 6 Seniors (4 in districts), for 17-30 years.

This is not a language course.

It is a complement to the academic formation that can receive or have received the assistants that allows, free of charge, to practice a foreign language.

The City of Murcia launched this service in 2010, and since then has been growing in number of centers where it is taught.

They are developed in cultural centers and youth centers of districts and districts.

In each group 20 young people participate, accompanied by a monitor that dynamizes it and is responsible for designing a monthly program with various leisure activities, leisure and free time.
