A Unimar course to promote healthy eating habits and prevent childhood obesity (18/09/2017)

"Factors involved in the early development of obesity" is the title of the course of the International University of the Sea-Campus Mare Nostrum to be held in the auditorium Virginia Martinez Fernandez de Molina de Segura from September 25 to 30.

According to those responsible for the course, in view of the rapid increase in cases of childhood obesity in the last decade, it is essential to be aware of the importance of prevention, starting with the implementation of healthy parenting strategies from the early years of development of the child.

This course aims to deepen the factors that contribute to the early development of obesity from a multidisciplinary perspective and offer strategies that go beyond intervention in the individual.

The course is directed by Marina Llanos Olmos Soria, Department of Evolutionary Psychology and Education of the University of Murcia and Ana Vanesa Valero García of the Department of Educational Sciences of the University of Rioja.

The activity consists of 30 hours, and those who enroll are entitled to 3 Free Setup Credits or 1 CRAU Credit.
