After 15 days of celebration, the #FeriadelasNovedades has ended with great success and high participation in the nearly 300 musical and artistic acts of first level, gastronomic tastings, parades, children's entertainment, sports activities and leisure events, among others.
One of the newest activities and with more attraction has been the spectacle of the international wanderer of Circo del Sol Vicente Quirós on the river, which summoned more than 5,000 people.
For their part, the young people enjoyed events designed especially for them as Made in Murcia, with 4,000 attendees, and Comic Day, attended by 5,000 people.
Other events that also had a high participation have been the Festival Lemon Pop, with more than 14,000 spectators, 'Murcia Horse Riding' that was seen live by 2,000 people, or the activities of Terra Natura in the Circular Square with more than 2,000 children .
The area of ​​the Gardens and Gastrovin returned one more year to hang several nights the complete poster, welcoming more than 150,000 people.
As every year the most participatory event has been the Pilgrimage of the Virgin of Fuensanta attended by more than 800,000 people.
The concert Los 40 Murcia Pop brought together more than 10,000 people both on the premises and nearby.
On the other hand, the Department of Development, through Ferrovial Services, collected 24,600 kg of garbage (last year were 23,100) thanks to the special service launched on the occasion of the Pilgrimage.
The team consisted of 119 people - among operators, drivers and foremen - and a fleet of 41 vehicles.
The volume collected corresponds to the route of the Pilgrimage, the cleaning of the mountain, the concert in New Condomina, as well as in the containers placed along the Romería along the itinerary towards the Sanctuary.
A year later, the City Council provided 30,000 bags of degradable trash in the course of the entourage which has been very positive, since although the amount of waste is similar to that of previous years, there has been a significant increase of closed bags inside of the container instead of loose waste.
