Juan José Izquierdo, Juan José Izquierdo, president of the Municipal Board of the Infante Don Juan Manuel, Sergio Martínez Ros, president of the Federation of Cycling of the Region of Murcia, Juan José Juan José Izquierdo, president of the Urban Planning, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, Calatayud, representing the workshops and shops of bicycles, and members of the Murcia Association on Bike the second edition of Bicifest.
This event to be held this time at the Infante don Juan Manuel de Murcia, will be held next Saturday on the occasion of the European Mobility Week.
This day will run from 10.00 to 14.00 hours offering activities for both adults and children, with road information for cyclists, workshops to teach to circulate and acquire skills to bicycle controls, talks of the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) and bicycle exhibitions.
To finish this day, a cycling route will be done in the neighborhood.
Navarro stated that "the objective of this event is to create spaces for a meeting between the cycling community and the city itself, in order to disseminate the use of the bicycle as a key element of sustainable mobility, demonstrating that its promotion as a means of transportation improves the cities and the way we relate to them. "
This initiative has involved the Municipal Bicycle Office, various bicycle associations, the DGT, the Cycling Federation and numerous bicycle sales companies, among others.
Also, from the Department directed by Antonio Navarro has wanted to involve educational centers and parent associations to bring this day to the youngest and create a cyclist awareness from childhood that helps in the future to have a citizenship sensitized on the importance of sustainable mobility.
