An agreement between the Ministry of Presidency and Development and the Department of Traffic and Citizen Security will allow the provision of the service of prevention and extinction of forest fires provided for in the Infomur Plan.
The operation of the plan foresees that the surveillance infrastructure will participate as a reinforcement and support of professionals who provide public service of prevention and extinction, civil protection volunteer couples in mobile surveillance and detection posts.
The City of Murcia participates in this agreement providing daily, during the High Risk period, to two pairs of volunteers in the two mobile posts assigned in the Plan Infomur 2017 that are in the Sierra de la Cresta del Gallo, Columbares and El Valley.
In addition, the Department of Traffic and Citizen Security offers the material means for the correct execution of the object of the agreement and the Ministry of Presidency assumes the obligations to coordinate and contribute with the operating cost of the operation, providing an economic amount that covers the reimbursement of the expenses that are caused to the volunteer in the execution of its surveillance actions.
