The Mills of the River host this afternoon the next edition of Pecha Kucha Night Murcia (07/09/2017)

The festival dedicated to different disciplines of the world of the arts will begin at 20.00 hours, attendance is free to complete capacity Each speaker has 20 slides, and 20 seconds per image, to explain their project among attendees

The City of Murcia collaborates with Pecha Kucha Night, a festival dedicated to the arts, which will be held this afternoon at 8 pm at the Molinos del Rio.

This festival consists of an interdisciplinary meeting where fields such as architecture, sociology, graphic and fashion design, music, photography, industrial design, cinema, art, multimedia creation, advertising, anthropology, medicine or environmental chemistry, gastronomy, have a space for interaction.

Pecha Kucha is presented as a quick format for exposing ideas and projects consisting of exposing 20 images or slides, taking 20 seconds to explain each one, which makes a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds per exposure.

Participants are professionals, students, teachers or entrepreneurs from different disciplines and at the end, the presentations give way to a space for the meeting between the participants, innovators with different creative profiles

For this new edition will be the creators of the fanzine Miderrota, Rodrigo Fonseca and Juanma Soriano, Constanza Más and his fashion project Contanza + Lab, illustrator and designer Juan Jiménez Alto, cultural agent Victoria Clemente who will talk about innovation labs citizen, María Moya and Diego Lizán with their project Muñecos de Barro, Jesús Cutillas in social economy with the new currency El Osel, Center for children's care EMPI, an educational project without limits, Sunset OpenHouse, a house open to people and the culture, Foodtopía, a project of resilient social economy and Raúl Lauri, designer, who under his Decafé brand transforms the coffee grounds into precious pieces of design.

Pecha Kucha Night differs from other similar quotes for its fast staging format.

Neither the participants nor the organization receive any remuneration for their collaboration in Pecha Kucha and does so with the La Lanzadera Cultural, a regional platform born to promote their own cultural projects or support those of other associations.

The Pecha Kucha Nights are an original idea by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of the Klein Dytham architecture studio.

They began to be held in Tokyo in 2003 and have now expanded to more than 373 cities around the world, including New York, London, Berlin, Moscow, Vancouver and Rotterdam.

In Spain it is officially held in Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Valencia, Seville, Las Palmas, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao and Malaga among other cities.
