The Department of Development, directed by Roque Ortiz, will carry out consistent work in the renovation and improvement of the public lighting installation in the West Industrial Estate of San Ginés.
The proposal consists of replacing 377 luminaires of sodium vapor with others of LED technology, replacing and repairing columns that are in poor condition.
Likewise, 13 points of the garden area of the polygon, 23 metal balconies and five remote control centers will be replaced and different canals and chests will be repaired.
This eliminates the current installation that is around forty years old, so it has a very low light output and produces, due to its configuration, high light pollution and high energy consumption.
In addition, some sticks are very damaged.
The total power after the renovation will be 38 kW, while current is 105 kW.
These works will allow a saving of 51,000 euros per year, which means a reduction of 65%.
In addition, the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere is reduced by 141 tons, from 221 to 80 tons.
The budget of the work, which is in tender, is 336,200 euros and the execution period of four months.
