Citizens require the local government to report on the discharges made in the municipality of Alquerías (06/09/2017)

The orange formation has requested in writing information on who has authorized such discharges, which company has been responsible and whether the area where they have been deposited is intended for this purpose

Citizen spokesman Mario Gómez has today demanded in writing from José Ballesta to report accurately on the spills deposited in the municipality of Alquerías, in particular, at the entrance of the hamlet, at the intersection of the roundabout between the Camino of the Pines and the street Conde Almodóvar.

According to denounce the neighbors, said discharges come from the cleaning of the speck of the Segura river.

"This is mud, hurdles and even tires that have recently been covered under a layer of dirt, as shown by the images taken before and after covering the waste," explained Gómez.

For all this, the orange formation has asked the PP to report on who has authorized such discharges, which company has been responsible, if it had authorization;

and if in the area where the waste has been deposited, in the garden of Alquerias, a few meters from the houses, is intended for this purpose.

Neighbors have alerted the Municipal Citizens Group of what they have described as "a tremendous ecological attack next to their homes.

"Our obligation is to confirm whether these discharges have been carried out with the appropriate authorizations and comply with legality," said Gómez, who hopes to receive the required information as soon as possible and in a detailed manner "in order to clarify the situation and in if necessary, to file the corresponding complaint with Seprona.
