The Governing Council has addressed the evolution of construction work on the new Camino de Tiñosa bridge, which is expected to be completed over the next few days, and will then open to traffic.
Work is progressing with the installation of vertical and horizontal signaling, lighting and installation of measures of protection and safety for both pedestrians and vehicles.
It is a necessary and fundamental infrastructure to continue advancing in the arrival of the AVE to the Region, since it allows the arrival of the new high-speed trains to the city of Murcia.
Among its novelties with respect to the previous one, the electrification of the track and the increase of the gall of the bridge to facilitate the transit of the AVE trains, as well as the endowment of an accessible pedestrian itinerary stand out.
Likewise, the regional government and the City of Murcia are attending requests for improvements of the neighbors to adapt the environment of the bridge and improve communications throughout the area, as well as access to their homes.
The adaptation of the RM-F6 road linking the towns of Los Dolores and San José de la Montaña in the city of Murcia will be developed and improved, the creation of two new green areas, the provision of new links and pedestrian access, green path and improved lighting in the area.
All these actions will be executed once the works of the bridge and those of the collectors are completed.
In addition, the works of diversion of the services are practically finished in the section where the provisional route will be installed and the acoustic protection screens have been placed, which will reduce the annoyances of the neighbors during the burial works while minimizing the noise from the passage of trains.
These actions are essential to start the work of the burial.
