A dozen measures will improve the urban quality and the accessibility of the surroundings of the Trail of Tiñosa (05/09/2017)

The Councilor for Development, Roque Ortiz, and the General Director of Transport, Coasts and Ports, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, explained to the municipal councils of Los Garres and Los Dolores, as well as the neighborhood association, the improvements planned in the area, which include the construction of the first two gardens of the area, in the Morata and under the new bridge.

The construction of the new bridge of the Tiñosa Road will be accompanied by a dozen measures that will make it possible to improve the urban quality that the neighbors enjoy and guarantee the permeability of the environment.

This was explained this morning by the Councilor for Development, Roque Ortiz, and the General Director of Transport, Coast and Ports, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, at the meeting they held with members of the municipal boards of Los Garres and Los Dolores , as well as with the representatives of the Association of Neighbors of Camino Tiñosa.

The session was also attended by technicians responsible for the works.

The actions carried out are framed in the Plenary agreement approved by the City of Murcia in March, in relation to the new bridge over the railway, with the aim of improving mobility and increasing the quality of life of neighbors.

Roque Ortiz stressed that the purpose of the plan is' to facilitate the movement, both for vehicles and people, on both sides of the railway and lay the basis for this connection is more agile and efficient than the existing one before building the new bridge, whose opening is foreseen immediately '.

One of the most relevant measures will be the creation of two new green zones, which will be the first to be built on the site.

The City already has the necessary land and has the project drafted, pending approval only, so that the deadline for completion is one year.

The gardens will be located next to the old 'Morata', with 1,000 m 2 , and under the south board of the new bridge, with an area of 1,250 m 2 .

In both cases, trees will be planted, an irrigation system will be installed, and they will be provided with albero and urban furniture.

On the other hand, Ortiz and Díez de Revenga have reported the next implementation of two measures to increase pedestrian permeability in the area.

Thus, in the short term it is planned to build a step between the houses and the green area and stairway under the bridge, improving the connection with the homes located at the end of the Shore of the Way.

Likewise, a metallic staircase will be executed to access directly from the green zone to the pedestrian crossing of the bridge.

This action will shorten the itinerary on foot for neighbors who do not need the use of a ramp.

In order to improve the accessibility of the lanes bordering the bridge of Tiñosa, a slope of direct connection to the Torre Leales and Campoy lane has already been made.

The planned actions also include a new link between the access to the bridge and the beginning of the Riverside of the north route to Beniaján, which until now had connection through the knot in "trumpet".

At present it is proposed to extend between the new green zone and the railroad, in Murcia sense, to unite the Shore of the Way with the trumpet link of the bridge.

Other measures already implemented have included the installation of new public lighting, the installation of temporary acoustic screens while carrying out the burial works and the elimination of aerial wiring.

On the other hand, it is pending to write the study of traffic to analyze the possibility of constructing a lane of two lanes of F 6, for which it would be necessary to obtain lands that at the moment are not available.

Likewise, it is difficult to execute the improvement of the access curve for a livestock operation due to existing irrigation, lighting, sanitation and supply infrastructures.

Likewise, both the Autonomous Community and Aguas de Murcia are also planning to carry out various improvement works.

Specifically, the Ministry of Presidency and Development plans to make an investment of 120,000 euros in repairing the RM-F6 highway, linking Los Dolores and San José de la Montaña, while the joint venture is responsible for the renewal of the collectors .
