He has also studied in his session today the contracts for the supply of materials for traffic signaling and marking in Murcia and pedanias and the maintenance service and new implementation of horizontal and vertical signaling

The Contracting Bureau, chaired by the Councilor for Finance and Contracting, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva and attended by representatives of municipal political groups, has approved, at this morning's session, the proposal of awarding the Tele-Assistance Service of the municipality to Televida Servicios Sociosanitarios, for an amount of 1,870,243 euros.

The contract, which will be in force until December 2019 and can be extended until the end of 2021, assumes continuity in the attention to the more than 2,400 users who currently benefit from this service, including an estimate of monthly growth if demand so requires and cost totally free for the people served.

On the other hand the Bureau of Contracts has also checked the administrative documents and technical proposals of the contracts of Supply of materials for signaling and marking of traffic in Murcia and pedanias and the Maintenance and new implementation of horizontal and vertical signaling.

A total of nine companies have been presented to both competitions.

The first of these contracts has a budget of 1,479,600 euros while that of the second is 480,000 euros.

Among the functions of the Traffic Service, which is part of the Department of Traffic, Safety and Citizen Protection, include traffic work to direct and order the traffic of vehicles and people on urban roads, as well as planning and scheduling signs of traffic, among others.

By means of the present contracts will be carried out the units of work of placement, replacement, maintenance and conservation of the material of marking and vertical and horizontal signaling, necessary to undertake new actions and reorganizations of new implantation that are realized in all the Municipal Term, like for the correct maintenance of the same, that due to multiple vandal acts, accidents and others, it needs to be replaced or repaired daily.
