The PSOE denounces a new wave of robberies in districts like La Raya (04/09/2017)

The councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group, Juan Vicente Larrosa, and the pedestrian mayor of La Raya, Jose Hernandez, have denounced Monday a new wave of robberies in the hamlet.

According to José Hernández, in recent weeks there have been five robberies in houses in the hamlet, some of them with tenants inside, sowing insecurity in La Raya.

The President of the Municipal Board has called on the government of Ballesta and the corresponding council, "to take the necessary measures as soon as possible to end this streak of robberies." The main purpose of the police is to prevent this type of vandalism, so that his presence is crucial. He can not only be aware of the allegations of robbery, but must be present in the districts to avoid them. "

The socialist mayor, Juan Vicente Larrosa, recalled that due to the lack of police forces due to the delay in the call for new places, and since most of the police presence is concentrated these days in the party areas, the districts suffer a lack of patrol and vigilance that propitiates the increase of this type of crimes ".

For this reason, both the socialist mayor and the mayor of La Raya have demanded a better organization and coordination of different bodies and security forces to cover the surveillance in districts while working to strengthen security at the September Fair.

"We understand the increase in police presence in the city center during the holidays, but we must look for alternatives and reorganize the police devices to avoid the lack of protection in which is left to the districts and peripheral neighborhoods of Murcia," concluded Larrosa .
