The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, along with Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, Socialist Municipal Group spokesman, Susana Hernández, the peddling mayor of Nonduermas, Carmen López, and the secretary of the Athletic Club Hermitage of Burgos, Francisco Hernández, today presented the 25th Edition of the National Open Nonduermas to be held from 4 to 17 September, coinciding with the patron saint's fiestas.
"This traditional popular race, open to the participation of up to 1,000 runners, celebrates its silver wedding and its distinction as National Open, granted by the Athletics Federation," said the mayor of Murcia, who encouraged "running fans of all The Region and the rest of Spain to participate in this event that will take place in open circuit and will score for the regional athletics championship.
"We want Nonduermas to become the center of sports activity, athletics and healthy life during these days," said José Ballesta.
In the race, organized together with the Hermitage Club of Ergos de Burgos, will be present the National Team of Jump of the Parachute Brigade (PAPEA) of Alcantarilla, there will be realized conferences on health and sport and will be projected a video on the history of the race Night of Nonduermas, among many other activities.
On Saturday, September 16, the XXV Carrera de Nonduermas will be held, with children's edition, and on Sunday, 17th, a healthy walk will be carried out with a 5,300-meter walk, a wheelchair adapted athlete and the great 'National Open' With departure at 9.30 am, which consists of an itinerary of 10.660 meters and whose registration costs 15 euros.
