The Councilor for Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, Jose Guillén, visited this morning the area of ​​canine recreation located in the lane of the Countess and, with 1,620 square meters, has become the largest in the whole municipality.
This new pet area features agility sets, drinking fountains, benches and bag dispensers to collect excrement.
It also has a fence and a double door for dogs to run freely ensuring the safety of all garden users.
Several cleanings and a disinfection will be carried out weekly to guarantee the hygiene of the area.
This way seeks to create in all districts and districts a network of dog areas that allows to reconcile the fun and the recreation of the animals with the maintenance of green areas in healthy conditions of ornament and cleanliness so that children and the elderly can enjoy .
Thus, in the budgets of the council for this exercise has reserved a line of 125,000 euros that will allow the creation of 15 new spaces enabling the ZECA Plan (areas for canine relaxation) to reach all the districts of the municipality.
According to Guillén, "from the Town Hall we seek to ensure that public spaces are adequate and kept in perfect conditions for the use and enjoyment of Murcia, and for this it is necessary that animals also have their place."

This facility is part of a plan to provide canine recreational areas to all neighborhoods and districts.
