NOW MURCIA denounces that the concessionaire company that manages the services of 4 sports pavilions and a soccer field of pedanias is in liquidation situation, "reason for which it is dispensing with its workers and leaving to render the services".

Councilor Angeles Micol explains that the sports areas that suffer this situation are those of Cabezo de Torres (pavilion and soccer field), El Esparragal, Sangonera la Seca and Sangonera la Verde.

The municipal group has written in writing to the Department of Finance and Contracting to request "all information" about this situation affecting users and workers.

"We want to be informed," says Micol, "of the problem of this company and how it affects the City, the current situation in which the service and workers are, and the measures that have already been taken or Which are planned to maintain the provision of these services. "

The councilor points out that the concessionaire company is Quality Deportiva SL, CADE, which according to informed in writing the Councilor of Sports to Now Murcia "is in the liquidation phase of insolvency in accordance with the order of June 21, 2017 of the Commercial Court N ° 1 of Murcia ".

Micol explains that CADE "was the company awarded two contracts for services of maintenance of sports facilities in the municipality. One of the contracts was for the pavilions of Cabezo de Torres and El Esparragal, and the other for those of Sangonera la Seca and Sangonera La Verde, and both included maintenance, collection, access control and cleaning services. The two contracts were made in early 2016 and totaled almost 650 thousand euros. "

The workers served in these pavilions "have received in the last weeks a letter in which they are told that after the summer holidays they will not return to their posts' until the ERE is resolved." Therefore, it is necessary to know what Is going to happen with these services and also with the workers that lent them ".

The mayor regrets "the often inefficient and, sometimes like this, little careful outsourcing that has carried out the PP all these years", and recalls that "many of the services subcontracted by the City Council could be perfectly managed by officials of the home".

Micol criticizes "the improvisation and bad planning of the Government of Ballesta of which we are witnessing almost continuously, and of which the victims are the neighbors of the municipality, who stop receiving services for a while or receive them of lower quality. Without forgetting that sometimes it is also hurting the municipal coffers with these actions. "
