Citizens demand a greater reduction of the transitional period for the liberalization of the ITV of the Region (02/08/2017)

The regional deputy Miguel Sánchez has insisted on the fulfillment of the demands of Cs regarding the maintenance of jobs, expansion of the network of stations to ensure a better service at a lower cost and the limitation of the number of concessions by Company to avoid oligopolies, among other issues

The regional deputy of Citizens Miguel Sánchez has demanded today the regional government a greater reduction of the transitional period for the liberalization of ITV stations of the Region of Murcia.

"We have been able to reduce from 15 to 10 years the period that the ITV are going to be maintained as a public service by administrative concession, although we hope that the deadlines will be reduced more so that we can implement, in less time, a new model of Technical Inspection of Vehicles Which favors the free market and meets the guidelines of the European Union, stressed Sanchez.

Better service and more opportunities

In this sense, from the orange formation they have emphasized that "the future of our Region must be directed, as soon as possible, towards liberalization because this will lead to the provision of a better service and the re-launch of new entrepreneurship opportunities for many Businessmen ", have defended.

Jobs are maintained

Likewise, the regional deputy has emphasized the need to comply with the other demands that Citizens has raised to the regional government, including the maintenance or conservation of the jobs of those who have been employed in ITV, whose Concession is about to expire, so as to ensure the experience of the people who provide the service and respect the working conditions they currently have.

Greater closeness

Other requirements are the increase of the network of stations to guarantee greater and better service at a lower cost, "for that we must achieve that there is an ITV no more than 20 kilometers from each population."

No to oligopolies and concessions to finger

They have also referred to the need to reduce, within legal limits, the financial requirements of companies that opt for concessions.

"This will allow us to present ourselves to a greater number of companies, favoring the attendance and putting a stop to the concessions to fingertips that the PP has been doing over the years," said Sánchez.

Last but not least is the limitation of awards by company that, "in no case", has clarified, "can exceed more than two lots or concessional packages avoiding oligopolies."
