Councilor for Trade, Organization and Institutional Relations, Maruja Pelegrín, presented this morning the budgets of her council for projects and investments during the year 2017.
Pelegrín has indicated that "this is a budget that shows the commitment and interest in improving services for citizens within this area of ​​work, consolidate and expand the quality of local commerce, which has an impact on good health of the Consumption and therefore greater welfare of the population of the municipality. "
Thus, the council will have 12,875,809 euros, which means an increase of 7.73%, which translates into 924,298 euros more than last year.
In terms of Trade, Consumption, Markets and Supply Squares, this budget has been drawn up with the aim of promoting and continuing to bet decisively on traditional trade and proximity, trade as usual.
For this reason it will manage during the present year 2017 an overall budget of 3,816,878 euros, which is distributed as follows among the three management areas that form it.
In the area of ​​Commerce, it will provide continuity to the Strategic Trade Plan, making an effort to consolidate the MUÁC brand (Murcia Commercial Area).
The budget lines necessary for the operation of the Local Council of Commerce have been strengthened, and the precise ones for the granting of direct subsidies to the associations of merchants of the municipality, in the total amount of 170,000 euros.
"The commitment to promote associationism in the municipality is clear and definitive.
