Councilors Jesús Pacheco and Felipe Coello have visited this morning the activities of the course "Sports physical animation for people with disabilities" organized by the City of Murcia for unemployed people of the municipality.

A course offered by the Employment and Sports Service of the City of Murcia, the result of the coordination that both areas maintain for the development of Training for Employment, and which is subsidized by the Regional Employment Service and Training of the Autonomous Community ( SEF) with € 55,800.

It is a Level 3 Professional Certificate for unemployed people in the municipality of Murcia, and aims to train future professionals to organize, manage and manage adapted sports activities for people with some degree of disability (physical, visual or intellectual).

A theoretical and practical training, which is offered free of charge for the first time in the region of Murcia, and is developed in various municipal facilities, for the variety of training modules that are taught: Local Development Agency, and municipal sports facilities (Sports Center José Barnés, Prince of Asturias Pavilion and Mar Menor Pool).

The course also includes visits to Associations and entities representing the disability sector: Assido, Aspaym, Aros Adapted Riding Club, CD Murcia BSR (Wheelchair Basketball), and the Center for High Performance of Narejos, And the attendance at Congresses / Conferences related to the contents of the same, such as the one held in Las Rozas in July: "International Seminar on Physical Activity and Inclusive Sport".

It involved 14 unemployed people from the municipality, aged between 20 and 49 years, who once obtained their certificate of professionalism can work as animators and physical and sports coordinators, and as adapted sports monitors And specific.

The President of the Sports Federation of the Physically Disabled of the Region of Murcia (FDDF) participates as student, an entity that has collaborated in the transfer of adapted material.

The training program also includes a module of non-work professional practices in work centers, for whose development the City of Murcia will sign collaboration agreements with companies in the sector and associations and federations working in the field of disability.
