The Transportation Bureau reviews frequencies and routes of seven pedantic lines to improve the service they provide (24/07/2017)

At the previous meeting, and at the proposal of the Department of Development, the political groups and municipal boards, the transport company was asked to propose a proposal to increase the quality of the provision to users.

Roque Ortiz said that "we are going to analyze each case because what suits one line may not be the same as that which benefits another and we want to be sure that the measures we adopt are, in fact, the most appropriate."

The Transportation Bureau of the City of Murcia has begun today to analyze the proposals presented by LatBus for the improvement of some of the routes most used by travelers in the municipality.

The commitment that was adopted at the previous session, in which the Department of Development, political groups and municipal boards have asked the transport company to detail some measures to improve the service.

In particular, these are the lines 1 -San Ginés, Murcia, Estadio Nueva Condomina-, 7 -The Albatalía, Murcia, La Arboleja-, 26 -El Palmar, Murcia-, 28 -Granonera la Verde, Murcia-, 29 - La Alberca, Murcia by Patiño-, 30 -Los Ramos, Murcia- and 91 -Sangonera la Seca, Javalí Nuevo, Murcia-.

In all of them, it has begun to study the different alternatives, whether it is a modification of itineraries, frequencies or schedules.

In some cases it may be more operative to change bus routes while in others the most interesting solution to improve the service may be to alter the schedules on weekdays or holidays.

"We will analyze each case well and thoroughly because what suits one line may not be the same as that which benefits another and we want to be sure that the measures we adopt are, in fact, the most appropriate," said Roque Ortiz , Councilor for Development and president of the Transportation Bureau.

He also explained that LatBus has also received a number of proposals to amend three other lines - 50, 31 and 39 - which will also be taken into account at the next meeting of the Bureau, to be held in September.
