Miguel Angel Noguera, Mayor Pedáneo de Corvera, has been named Knight of the Royal Canarian Militia, with the employment of Captain.
A distinction granted on the proposal of the Junta de Command of the Military Civic Order Royal Militias Canarias (RMC), which has its origins in the resistance that in 1555 mounted the residents of the island of La Palma, to face the pirates French attacking the Canary archipelago.
It is a recognition and degree that is granted for its merits, support and fidelity to the above entity.
The recognition was received in the office of the Mayor of Corvera, the Army Commander D. Manuel Cáceres Miranda, General Chief of the Militia of the Canary Islands, and the delegation of Murcia, formed by Mr. José Martínez, Mr. Alfredo Martínez , D. Blas Ríos and D. Alfonso Gómez.
