Two students from the University of Murcia participate in the University World Debate Championship in Spanish (17/07/2017)

Between 16 and 24 July, the World University Debate in Spanish (CMUDE 2017) will be held in Guatemala City (Guatemala), to which they will attend on behalf of the University and the Region of Murcia, as a team Participant, Manuel García Durán (Law Graduate and President of the UMU Debating Club) and Edgar-Tomás Arroyo Navarro (Economics Student and Club Treasurer).

The CMUDE is the most important event in the world for debatients in Spanish.

In this occasion, the seventh edition of the world championship is being held in Guatemala, where more than 300 teams from 60 countries will participate and from almost 200 of the best universities in the world.

The University of Murcia has a brilliant track record in this important international competition is brilliant.

In recent years, the UMU has been among the best teams in the world, reaching, for the fourth consecutive time, the final phases of the competition and one time being proclaimed runner-up in the world.

This is the fourth consecutive year in which the University of Murcia and the Region will be represented at this event.

For the third time with the support of the Regional Assembly of Murcia and the Vice-Rectorate of Communication and Culture of the University of Murcia, and this year, in addition to the Vice-rector of Internationalization of the UMU (within the Mare Nostrum Campus Project).
