Two students of the University of Murcia (UMU) participate these days in the World University Debate in Spanish, which until next July 24 is held in Guatemala City (Guatemala).
They are Manuel García Durán, a law graduate and president of the UMU Debating Club, and Edgar Tomás Arroyo Navarro, an economics student and treasurer of the Club.
The Championship is the most important in the world for participants in Spanish, and this edition involves more than three hundred teams from sixty countries and whose members belong to almost 200 of the best universities.
One more year, for every consecutive edition, UMU will be represented in this contest, with the support of the Regional Assembly and the Vice-rector of Internationalization of the UMU, within the Mare Nostrum Campus project.
The Debating Club of the UMU has numerous awards and on one occasion came to be proclaimed runner-up in the world.
