A course at the University of the Sea to learn about the dangers on the beaches and how to act (14/07/2017)

"Rescue at beaches and identification of hazards" is the title of a course of the International University of the Sea-Campus Mare Nostrum to be held in the town of San Javier from 17 to 21 July.

The main objective of the activity is to publicize the main risks and hazards that may arise in natural aquatic spaces, and how to respond to them.

It is a question of becoming familiar with the specific materials and techniques, which will have to be modified according to the characteristics of the sea, the victim and the situation of the possible rescuer.

The activity will address topics such as the characteristics of natural aquatic spaces, identification of the main hazards in those spaces or first aid in natural aquatic environment among others.

The course is led by Francisco Cano Noguera, professor of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of Murcia, consists of 30 hours, and those who enroll will be eligible for 3 credits of free configuration or 1 CRAU credit.
