Now Murcia: "Residents of Puente Tocinos and other areas of the municipality denounce that they continue paying the urban IBI despite the rulings of the supreme that they should turn it into rustic" (07/07/2017)

Micol regrets that "the rush that the municipal PP gives to raise the taxes to the neighbors when reclassifies soils, does not have to lower them nor to restore them when the justice declares illegal those partial plans"

NOW MURCIA has transmitted to the City Council the complaint made by many residents of Bacon Bridges about the IBI (Property Tax) that they have been paying for more than a decade and that they have still been charged this exercise.

Councilor Angeles Micol explains that despite the annulment by the Supreme Court of Partial Plan ZM-PT1, neighbors are paying for their land "the urban IBI, when what they would pay, according to the ruling, is the rustic IBI ".

"The affected people demand," the mayor explains, "that they be refunded the amount of more that they have paid these years, and that they be changed at once the type of tax they receive."

The municipal training has been written in writing to the Councilor for Finance and Contracting to obtain information on this matter, while stressing that this same situation affects other areas of the municipality, "with partial plans canceled and despite this urban IBI ".

Micol regrets that "the rush that the municipal PP gives to raise taxes to the neighbors when reclassifying soils, does not have to lower them nor restore them when the justice declares illegal these partial plans.

The councilor points out that in the case of Puente Tocinos "we talk about 600 thousand square meters and more than a decade paying the urban IBI, so it is about very important amounts of money, the City must explain how it intends to manage" .

Last January, the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal that the City of Murcia had filed against the judgment of the Superior Court of Justice (TSJ) of the Region in November 2015, which overturned the partial plan ZM-PT1 in Puente Bacon, for lacking the report of water resources of the Confederación Hidrográfica del Segura (CHS).

Micol was the one who prepared the technical reports of the lawsuit against this partial plan, which consisted of 600 thousand square meters and foresaw the construction of almost 5,000 houses.

"The Partial Plan was canceled because they did not request the mandatory water resources report to the CHS, but there were many more allegations against the plan, which the TSJ stopped studying as soon as it verified the absence of the report of the basin organ," says .

The Councilor stresses that "the City Council had the temerity of not accepting the judgment of the TSJ of the Region and resort to it, using in its appeal all the imaginable arguments that the Supreme Court." We hope that at least now the City Council will analyze the situation denounced by these Neighbors and if, as it seems, they are right, take the appropriate measures, as with those affected by similar cases in other areas of the municipality.
