The PSOE denounces that the PP failed in 2016 the Pact for Employment and requires that the aid for the recruitment of self-employed and social economy enterprises be put in place (06/07/2017)

The councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group, Begoña García Retegui, has criticized Thursday "the neglect of the government of Ballesta to comply with the Pact for Employment and start aid for the recruitment of self-employed, social economy companies, etc.".

After the meeting on the Pact for Employment held today, Garcia Retegui recalled that it was the Socialist Group that proposed the Local Employment Pact and insisted that a budget line be included to hire self-employed or employees of the social economy .

"The Councilor for Employment again makes excuses of bad payer, but the truth is that if they have not been awarded these grants for recruitment has been for the delay of the PP government to approve them."

García Retegui has indicated that last year these aids were summoned to which a good number of candidates opted, "but it was not until the first of December when the governing body approved the order that regulated them, reason why the delay left tirados to the appliers".

"So," added Garcia Retegui, last year the PP broke the Pact and 112,000 euros were left without investing in job creation. We demand, and we have stated in the meeting, that before the month of September they will approve these Subsidies so that the same thing does not happen and this year it can contribute to the recruitment of self-employed and workers of the social economy through this initiative. "

On the other hand, the socialist councilor has stated that "although business associations and trade union organizations, as well as training programs, are being very helpful in improving employability, the effort remains insufficient. Head of the unemployment rate, with alarming data on long-term unemployment and with young people with a high unemployment rate and a low rate of education, and employment seasonality is still well above the figures for other large municipalities "It is an important burden that has not been corrected and has increased in the last year, so we continue to demand that the local government make an effort to rise to the occasion to address the problem."
