Urban Development and Quality coordinate a schedule of works on public roads with service companies (05/07/2017)

The councilors of Promotion and Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation, Roque Ortiz and José Guillén, respectively, have held this morning a meeting with the representatives of all supply companies that affect the subsoil of the city (electricity, water, telecommunications, Gas, etc.) in order to coordinate the work they plan to carry out in the next few months on the public thoroughfare with the actions planned by the City Council.

The purpose of this commission is to keep as close as possible the schedule of execution of the works to avoid that the same street undergoes consecutive actions.

It is, in this way, that these companies and councils agree to carry out their projects simultaneously and take advantage of the work in a place to undertake their repairs, with the aim of ensuring that they will not have to break trenches in streets Arranged

This coordination affects investments planned to be carried out in the coming months.

The meeting was attended by representatives of companies providing services in the municipality: Vodafone, Jazztel, Telefónica, Redexis Gas Murcia, Aguas de Murcia, Iberdrola and Cablemurcia.

On the one hand, Fomento is about to tender a 'black operation' in the districts.

As soon as a detailed list of the streets is available, supplying companies will be given a chance to check if they have any investments in them, so that they can act before the City Council begins the asphalting.

To this end, the Department of Modernization will grant 'express licenses' to streamline procedures and not suffer unnecessary delays.

It will also adjust the calendar with the 'black operation' to be held in the neighborhoods in the last quarter of the year.

Likewise, the works will be coordinated in the surroundings of San Esteban and Alfonso X, where the City Council will begin remodeling soon.

In this way, the companies Vodafone, Iberdrola and Redexis Gas will act in August, and then Aguas de Murcia will renew its networks.

All this, prior to the reform that Fomento plans in this great way.

The meeting also addressed the possibility that companies take advantage of these actions to renew or improve their networks to, as far as possible, replace aerial cables that cross facades or streets through underground.
