The City Council notes that the works of Mount Tabala do not affect the discovered archaeological remains (28/06/2017)

The councilman of Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro has declared that these works are authorized by the Ministry of Development and the UTE.

The works have been paralyzed until the General Directorate of Culture evaluates the new archaeological site

The councilman of Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, reported this morning on the work done in Mount Tabala, in Zeneta, explaining that "this extraction activity has been supervised by the General Directorate of Culture, are works Authorized by the Ministry of Public Works, by the UTE (Temporary Union of Companies) of the Motorway of Reguerón ".

After the notice that arrived at the Department, the municipal technicians immediately moved to the area yesterday to evaluate the movements of heavy machinery for the work being carried out there and, as informed the councilman, the municipal archaeologist Has issued a report stating that the works do not affect the development of the area bounded by the archaeological site.

"The resolution regarding the conditions of operation of the new site that has been found in the vicinity of the mountain is already known to the General Directorate of Cultural, which is the competent body," says Navarro.

This is a new deposit that was not known, so that the Directorate of Culture will mark the steps to follow, the determinations that will be made in this area.
