Andrés Baquero's school children and neighbors will plant this giant giant garden, Santa Eulalia. (28/06/2017)

School students Andrés Baquero and neighbors of the neighborhood will participate this afternoon in the planting of the vertical garden 'Santa Eulalia' made with large plant letters, in the lot located next to Calle Paco, which was ceded by a neighbor and, thanks To the Urban DNA project, is being converted into a cultural and leisure space open to all.

The event, which will plant more than 1,000 ivy pots - of the 5,000 that form the giant letters of 10 meters in length - will feature the presence of the mayor of Murcia and members of the municipal corporation.

This is a collaborative activity in which the children of this neighborhood school, their families and neighbors of Santa Eulalia will have the supervision and support of operators of the municipal service Parks and Gardens.

The site of Calle Paco has been converted into a cultural and leisure area with urban gardens, ten trees, two picnic areas, an area to play petanque or caliche.

A recycled container has also been installed, which will acquire a new use as an exhibition and artistic space.

It is foreseen that the conditioning works, which also include the vegetation of the walls of the site, will be completed by the end of next week.

It will be then when the deadline for the different associations to request the management of this new space that opens to the neighborhood.

The uses of the site will evolve according to the needs of the neighbors of Santa Eulalia.
