The Municipal Socialist Group has presented a motion to demand that the City Council prioritize the older neighborhood demands and urgent needs to invest the support of the strategy of sustainable and integrated urban development (EDUSI), whose goal is to add innovation and tradition.

Socialist councilor Enrique Ayuso recalls that the 17.5 million euros, from FEDER funds and the municipal contribution, do not currently have a clear destination on the part of the City, so it requires a working table with all Political groups to prioritize investments taking into account the claims of neighbors.

He adds that "we can not be to the last occurrence of the Mayor Ballesta that one day destined them to the Old Prison and the next one to the Neighborhood of Santa Eulalia. We need to share fair distribution criteria, balanced and that prioritize the most urgent actions from a point Of social view ".

It also requests that the aforementioned Bureau give priority to the actions promised in La Paz, El Carmen and Cabezos del Collado and La Cruz in Cabezo de Torres, as they understand that they are announced projects pending fulfillment that require funds to be able to be a Reality in areas with a significant rate of urban and social degradation.

Likewise, it considers that the City Council should take into account several basic principles, such as social participation (neighborhood associations, university experts, professional associations, political groups and other groups), public transparency throughout the process, and selection of projects Have been demanded throughout this legislature and the previous ones and that have motivated different approvals in the municipal plenary as the projects of physical, economic and social regeneration of the Polygon of La Paz, of the district of the Carmen, of the heads of the Collado and La Cruz in Cabezo de Torres, and traditional access to Murcia (El Palmar, Alcantarilla or Alicante roads).

Also, it is necessary to promote social inclusion and fight against poverty in the most degraded areas of the municipality and, of course, the reduction of imbalances between the most abandoned districts and districts and the urban center.
