Twenty-four multidisciplinary teams have registered in the contest of pre-projects with jury intervention for the rehabilitation and use of the building of the former provincial prison, convened by the City Council, at the request of the Department of Development, headed by Roque Ortiz.
The estimated value amounts to € 204,471 and the maximum budget is set at € 21,000, corresponding to the three prizes of € 12,000, € 6,000 and € 3,000 planned.
Of these proposals, 12 correspond to companies from Murcia, 4 from Madrid, 3 from Valencia (specifically from Castellón, Valencia and Denia) and 2 from Galicia (Vigo and Santiago de Compostela), as well as a proposal from Almería, Of Barcelona and one of London.
The Board of Recruitment, this morning, chaired by the Councilor for Finance and Contracting, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, today registered these 24 registrations, while excluding six for not meeting the requirements.
From now on, the deadline for teams to present their proposals, which will include integral rehabilitation solutions, options for possible uses to be implemented in different spaces, urban integration, access, permeability, treatment of adjacent gardens, as well as Any other similar aspects that will result in the recovery of the space to be treated as an urban, tourist and cultural reference.
This deadline, which will be based on two months, will begin to be counted from the publication in the official bulletin of the admission agreement, which is expected to occur during the month of July.
The purpose of the competition is to select a winner for the first stage project, which has the relevant funding and provides for the allocation of social and cultural uses, as well as taking into account a space to pay homage to the Historical Memory .
